Time Lord

Ok, I know I'm really late to the party here but OMG I love Doctor Who! I have to say my favorite Doctor has to be Christopher Eccleston. He and Rose just have so much chemistry .But I can't help but wonder, why did he leave the show? It is only because of this show that I can say that Eccleston is kinda dreamy. The new Doctor does absolutely nothing for me. He's (in my humble opinion) pretty fugly. Maybe I'm not being entirely fair though. I mean Christopher did set the bar pretty high didn't he?

Christmas Time with a Twist

Christmas Eve! Quite suddenly I want to watch Santa's Slay. It's too funny. I'm not sure it's intended to be funny but it is nonetheless. There's a scene where Santa is dealing with the naughty at a strip club. He pulls down a piece of the stripper pole and then uses it to do away with the wicked. After which he drops the pole in disgust and a look that screams that he needs a shower. Good stuff, if you're feeling festive but you still want to see a horror movie. Jack Frost, Christmas Evil, or maybe the classic Black Christmas are also good choices.

Horror Movie Night

Yes, Christmas is fast approaching but I am still able to watch gorey, bloody, disgusting horror movies. Thank you very much. Tonight (my other bestie) Bones and I are watching Let The Right One In, Pontypool, and I Sell the Dead. So it's Swedish vampires, virus-infected pseudo-zombies and (sorta) historical zombies. I'm kind of interested to see how the Americanized Let Me In is going to turn out. It features Chloe Moretz (aka Hit-Girl of Kick-Ass) and truth be told if she's in it I'm likely to see it. She's an awesome actress, especially for her age. And if the remake is even half as good as the original then it'll be sweet!

Creepy

Apparently I have a teenage admirer. Every night that I've worked the past two weeks my co-workers and I have noticed these two boys outside our windows. Then they would come inside take a walk around the store and leave. Then they would linger outside awhile looking in. It's creepy. The past three or four times one of the boys stared at me the whole time he was inside and out. It was unsettling to say the least. Then tonight they came in again then left. One boy came back in again, he walked up to me and asked how old I was, after I answered him, he smiled and left. I'm twenty-three years old, that boy couldn't be more then fifteen. It was totally unnerving. But the weirdest part? This whole thing makes me want to watch Fatal Attraction, Swimfan, or Fear. Hopefully I won't end up like anyone in any of those movies though!

Yay! Christmas

Christmas time again! Who else is broke as hell? I've spent more money then I'd care to think about. The only thing that will get me through my (poor) winter blues is Scrooged! Bill Murray should have made a movie for every holiday in my opinion. Scrooged is my Christmas movie and Groundhog Day is pretty much my whole February movie. But what am I to do the rest of the year, I ask you? Sure, Scrooged is kind of dark but it's nothing compared to the new Disney's A Christmas Carol. Too creepy for me thanks. And it's aimed at kids! Let me tell you, Scrooged is a great deal better then that. Anyway, I'll stay warm and cozy (and way less creeped out) with Frank Cross and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. I do love the cabbie Ghost but the fairy Ghost was always my favorite! Man, she knew how to use a toaster!

Mr. Rochester

It's very obvious to anyone who knows me that I'm an Anglophile. (For those who don't know an Anglophile is a person who loves all things British.) Let me tell you, I love it when I come across a new movie adaptation of one of my favorite books. Right now I'm !super!excited! about the new Jane Eyre movie that's coming out. Any guesses why? Beside the fact that it's a British film? Because Michael Fassbender is Mr. Rochester! It's already been established how much of a hankering I have for him. (Heh. Hankering.) So until the new one comes out I'll have to watch Masterpiece Theatre's Jane Eyre over and over. It's the best version I've seen to date. But that might change once I've seen Mr. Fassbender take his turn.

Well Crap

There are children in my house. They are not my children (thank God!). I'm not really the maternal type, I'm not sure what to do really. I had a night of fun and frivolity planned, obviously that's changed. Why does life have to get in the way so often? They are cute though... and pretty decent at poker too!

Update: Nope. Not so fun after all. Total crap-shoot. Well, eff it. I'll start my night off right by myself. Hello Four Loko my dear friend. It's been too long.... A couple of weeks is a long time right? Long enough anyway. So it's going to be a Four Loko and Dexter kind of evening. For those of you wondering it's fruit punch. A friend just told me about a drink I need to try. It's called  Lollipop. Hawaiian Punch and cherry vodka. Mmmmm.

Scifi Movie Night

I spent the evening watching scifi movies with my big brother Crash. We had Splice and some 80's flick called Arena lined up. Adrian Brody's the reason I watched Splice and he is the only reason to watch it, let me assure you. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen but it certainly wasn't the best either. I had heard it was bad, truthfully that was why I watched it, but I was still unprepared. I generally like the movies that are labeled "terrible", they might not be good but they're usually interesting. Splice was not. Snoozefest. It's like a really dry soap opera with genetic splicing thrown in. All the real action takes place in the last 10 minutes. Arena is an 80's scifi movie at it's best.... or worst depending on how you look at it. It has plenty of rubber monsters to enjoy. It's like the background aliens in Star Wars meet the American Gladiators. It's totally ridiculous but it's pretty funny. I'm not sure if it's intended to be funny but whatever.

Tattoo?

I am seriously considering another tattoo. I don't really know what I want though. The very (pasty) Irish side of me wants a shamrock. The other side of me says - really?- in a very snotty tone. My mother has only just forgiven me for the last one. Hmmmmm, what to do? (Obviously I have to put it somewhere she won't see!) That's right. I'm a grown woman who's still afraid of her mother. You would be too if you ever saw her mad. (Think Red Hulk meets the mom from Leave it to Beaver.) What to get? Suggestions are appreciated. Oh! While I'm thinking of it, Cupcake we've got to get you inked! But if your mom asks I was not involved! She could go all Nurse Ratched on me from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. (That's the only scary nurse I could think of.)

Fable 3

Ok, ok, ok. I know I said 8-bit games were the best... but dammit I love Fable III! I. Can't. Stop. Playing. It.  I can't eat, I barely sleep, it's all I think about! When I'm not playing, I'm thinking about when I can play next. It's becoming a problem. When I'm at work all of my conversations turn to Fable 3. My co-workers think I'm insane. They're probably right. But whatever! I have to beat the game. Twice actually. First I have to beat it good, then I have to beat it evil. I loved the game the moment I started it, but then to make it even sweeter... I heard King Logan speak. It's friggen Michael Fassbender! Could this game get any better for me? The man gives good voice. Michael Fassbender has one of the greatest voices in the world. Seriously. He was in a British series called Hex where he played a (smoking hot!) fallen angel. So so good. He was also in 300 as one of the many ripped Spartans. "Then we will fight in the shade." Ugh. Fable 3 I heart you so much.

Skates

Dammit, I really want some roller skates! I'm clearly watching too many movies about Roller Derby. I'm kind of obsessed. Not that I have any aspirations for joining. No thank you. I'm not aggressive enough. Plus...  I don't know how well I'd take a hit. I'd either go down and be a total baby about it or flip the hell out and try and tear the other girl's hair out. Wait. What happened to not being aggressive? Hmmm. Maybe I could be a part of this sport! Well for the time being I think I'll just stick with watching movies about this. Two of my favorites are Whip It and Blood on the Flat Track. Whip It is an actual movie starring Ellen Page and Drew Barrymore and it is awesome. Blood on the Flat Track is a documentary about the sport and about the Rat City Rollergirls. It is also awesome. So if you have any interest in seeing girls beating the hell out of each other or if you just want to see some bad ass ladies, Derby is for you. We have a team here in town, I gotta get to see them play! Dang I need some skates!

Phantom?

I think I may have a problem. Now I'm dreaming about geeks. Jim Parsons (aka Sheldon Cooper of The Big Bang Theory) made an appearance in my dream last night. (Get your mind out of the gutter, please.) What made it extra special sauce weird was that fact that he and I were discussing The Phantom of the Opera. While it is true that I'm a bit of a closet Phantom Phan, it's just never come up before. In dream or real life. So very random. Though if I could interact face to face with him that would be awesome! But honestly, I don't think I'd talk Phantom with him, it would probably be a lot of high pitch giggling and babble.

Holy Mother of Pearl! I got an email yesterday about the Mustang!! I won't lie, I may have done a happy dance. The guy who's selling it finally responded! Whoo!... Ok, yes, I'm still very very poor but I'm crossing all of my fingers and toes. Everyone (that means you Cupcake & Crash) think positively! I want good vibes. I want this car more then anything... ok almost more then anything. I'd still rather marry Fatty from Family Force 5, but the 'Stang is a very close second. If you don't know who Fatty or Family Force 5 is.. well, truthfully you're probably not the only one. But still! Shame! They (FF5) are my favorite band of all time. And (obviously) Fatty (the bassist) is my favorite member of the band. He's pretty dreamy... In a mountain man sorta way. He looks like he'd go cut down some trees for fire wood, come home, rock your world, then read you some poetry. At least that's how I see him anyway. If you're even slightly interested, they're first album is my favorite, partly because of it's name. Business Up Front Party In The Back (Diamond Edition). Oh yeah. A little crunk rock if you please.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Man. Super Nintendo. I miss those days. 8-bit games were the best. Ok. I'll grant you the graphics today are better. Hands down. But as far as I'm concerned old-school games were just more fun.You had to work harder for it too, ya know. You didn't get to just save the game, you'd get codes to skip to the level you left off on. But if you lost that password, you're out of luck. I was so bummed, I lost my system when I was 10 and I thought I'd never get to play my games again. Alright, yes, I could have gone out and gotten another console but I'm broke... and probably a little lazy. So there it was. I was doomed! Doomed to not play my beloved childhood game ever again. Until! Cupcake's brother hooked me up! Found Zombies Ate My Neighbors for me and I've been in a happy videogame induced stupor ever since. Just like all of my formative years. Bless you Bob, bless you.
